6. Why does my voice sound so strange to me when I’m wearing my hearing aid?
That is what we call the occlusion effect. Essentially, when your ear is occluded, or blocked, by your hearing aid it restricts the air flow through your ear, which changes how you hear yourself. Talk with your hearing specialist, as they may be able to make changes to the hearing instrument.
